Since its introduction, the Vital Coat Authorized Installer Program has helped contractors across the country incorporate Shingle Shield RTU (formerly Shingle Shield One) into their businesses. We are grateful for the contractors who participated in the program and for the role they played in growing the Vital Coat brand.

As Vital Coat Technologies has continued to evolve, we have invested in new products, expanded contractor resources, enhanced training, and developed a more comprehensive professional contractor platform. As part of this evolution, we are officially retiring our original Authorized Installer Program and introducing a new professional opportunity centered around Shingle Shield Max.

Effective July 3, 2026

The Vital Coat Authorized Installer Program for Shingle Shield RTU will be officially retired.

This retirement applies only to the Authorized Installer Program and the associated installer designation. It does not affect the availability of Shingle Shield RTU or other Vital Coat products.

What Is Changing

Beginning July 3, 2026:

• The original Vital Coat Authorized Installer Program will officially close.
• Authorized Installer status issued under the original program will no longer be recognized.
• The program will no longer accept new participants or provide installer-specific support.
• Contractors who previously participated in the program should remove references to being a “Vital Coat Authorized Installer” from their websites, social media, printed materials, vehicle graphics, uniforms, and other marketing materials within 30 days of this notice.

What Is NOT Changing

We want to be clear that Shingle Shield RTU is not being discontinued.

Shingle Shield RTU will continue to be manufactured and sold through Vital Coat Technologies and our authorized sales channels.

Contractors, distributors, retailers, and homeowners may continue purchasing and using Shingle Shield RTU just as they do today.

The retirement of the Authorized Installer Program does not limit the availability of the product.

Existing Product Warranties

We also want to reassure both contractors and customers that all manufacturer product warranties that were properly submitted, accepted, and issued by Vital Coat Technologies prior to July 3, 2026, will remain in effect according to the terms and conditions that existed at the time the warranty was issued.

This program retirement does not affect any previously approved manufacturer product warranties.

While we are retiring the original Authorized Installer Program, we are excited to introduce a new chapter for professional contractors through the Shingle Shield Max Authorized Installer Program.
